On 7 May 2025, the President of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Globalization Business (MCCGB), Mr. Jeffrey Lau, together with the Vice President of MCCGB, conducted an official visit and strategic meeting with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
The visit aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts between MCCGB and MATRADE, particularly in discussing Malaysia’s active participation in the RCEP Country Pavilion located in China. The key focus of the meeting was the RCEP Malaysia Pavilion, which is poised to become a vital platform for Malaysian companies to showcase their products and services across the RCEP member countries in a more integrated and impactful way.
During the discussion, MCCGB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the coordination and facilitation of Malaysian entrepreneurs and companies—especially SMEs—to penetrate international markets through the opportunities provided by this Pavilion.
The President of MCCGB emphasized the importance of strong cooperation between government agencies and the private sector in fully leveraging the benefits of the RCEP agreement, and in positioning the Malaysian brand strategically within the Asia-Pacific region.
MCCGB expresses its sincere appreciation to MATRADE for the warm reception and continued support towards Malaysia’s global business expansion initiatives.
